HealthInspections.com: Your Source for Restaurant Inspections

Searching This Site

Healthinpsections.com is your link to health department web sites across America.

Specifically, we link you to health departments that post restaurant inspections on line.

All you have to do is enter a city, state, or zip code in the search-box. That will take you to the health department web site for the locality you entered.

If your search comes up empty, it's because there is no inspection data available for that particular city or state. Many health departments post inspection information online, but quite a few do not.

We are constantly adding health departments to our data base as their information becomes available online.

What You Will See

The layout of inspection reports varies from state to state. So does the amount of data available on line.

Some departments simply list the names of restaurants that have been inspected, along with a score.

Many departments provide the complete inspection record online, including the inspector's comments. These are the most informative.

In some states, a letter-grade of A, B, C, or D is given during an inspection. In other states, it's a numeric score.

A few states, such as Texas, give demerits for violations, but no specific score. Most health department web sites have a glossary of inspection terms and an explanation of local regulations. Finally, you'll notice that many restaurants receive bonus points for having a Serv-Safe Certification. Serve-Safe is a training course about food safety. In some states, if a restaurant manager has completed the Serv-Safe Course, the restaurant automatically gets bonus points during an inspection.
